The following items were considered at the latest meeting.

Abandoned car

The Volvo abandoned in the main car park should be removed in the next few days. It is going to cost £30.

DANGER

One of the doors on the bin store in block 1/9 is broken and is likely to fall if opened and a warning notice will be put on it pending repair. Please be careful.

More about bins

There is a problem with the filling of bins in block 1/9. Some people seem to be reluctant to use the second bin and as a result the first can be overflowing while the second is empty. It is much safer for the bin men if the bins are not over-filled even if this means the second bin has only one item in it. And leaving the lids open is an invitation to vermin. So please don’t be shy to be the first to use the second.

Satellite TV services

In the absence of any objections in principle to this idea (see the previous newsletter for details) it will be explored further to try to confirm what size of dish will be required, where the cables would run and to establish more nearly what the cost would be.

Gutters and re-decorations

A tender for external and internal re-decoration has been accepted (£2726) and the contractor is to be asked additionally to include the handrails on the stairs.

Tenders have been received for the replacement of gutters and fascia boards but clarification of some details is required before a decision can be made.
