The following items were considered at the latest meeting.
Block doors
This project is now going ahead with orders being placed this month. It has been complicated by our inability to find a contractor to supply and fit both the doors and the glazing with suitable guarantees and has been slowed down by the need to consult. The committee has now decided on what it considers to be the best option and it is hoped that the work will be completed early in the New Year.
Door security
This matter is still under consideration and so, initially, the new doors will not have locks.
External lights
The new lights are now in place.
What do you think?
As a result of the decision to build flats and town houses on the corner of Langwood Gardens and Langley Road parking in our end of Langwood Gardens will be banned sometime next year. As several residents park there at present this change will increase pressure on our on-site parking. We will need to decide how best to respond. We could do nothing or we could look at the possibility of increasing on-site provision. In the latter case there would be various options.
The committee will start to look at the problem next year so if you have any ideas or thoughts on the subject please let us know.
Finally, the Directors and the Committee wish all residents and their loved ones a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
